60 years Leipziger Synagogalchor

November 12, 2022. By no means did we feel like we were 60 at the celebratory concert in the Gewandhaus, but inspired and exhilarated and proud of the 500 visitors who celebrated our anniversary with us, even without the local press noticing it beforehand.

With the first part of the concert we said goodbye to Ludwig Böhme, with the second part we welcomed Philipp Goldmann, and you could see, feel and hear how well we harmonize with both of them and how much we, despite all the sadness of saying goodbye to Ludwig, are looking forward to the future with Philipp.

It was a pleasure for us to sing with our "All Stars", with Anja Pöche (soprano), Susanne Langner (alto), Falk Hoffmann (tenor) and cantor Assaf Levitin (bass) as well as Ulrich Vogel on organ and grand piano, thank you very much to you for many years and many concerts that we have played together and for your friendship! A big thank you also to the Mendelssohn Chamber Orchestra Leipzig, which played our repertoire for the first time, so wonderfully, together with the concertmaster Gunnar Harms with great virtuosity on the violin.
